Car
If you're driving from Kandy, head northeast on the A26 road towards Hunnasgiriya. Continue on this road for approximately 30 km until you reach the turn-off for Rangala Road. Take a left onto Rangala Road and follow it for about 10 km. Nipuna Knuckles Trekking will be located on your right. Be aware that some sections of Rangala Road can be narrow and winding, so drive cautiously.
Public Transportation
From Kandy, take a public bus heading to Hunnasgiriya from the Kandy Central Bus Station. The bus ride will take around 1 to 1.5 hours, costing approximately LKR 50 to LKR 100. Once you reach Hunnasgiriya, you may need to hire a tuk-tuk or a local taxi to take you to Nipuna Knuckles Trekking on Rangala Road, which is about 10 km away. Tuk-tuk fares should be negotiated before the ride, generally costing around LKR 500 to LKR 800.
Tuk-Tuk
If you're already in the Knuckles Mountain Range area, you can easily hire a tuk-tuk from nearby locations to reach Nipuna Knuckles Trekking. Make sure to agree on the fare beforehand; typical rates range from LKR 500 to LKR 1,000 depending on your starting point. The journey will take about 20 to 30 minutes.
