Car
If you are driving from Kandy, take the A26 highway towards Mahiyangana. After about 30 kilometers, turn onto the B43 road towards Riverston. Continue on this road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Riverston. From there, follow the signs to Pitawala Pathana, which is about a 5-kilometer drive on a gravel road. Ensure your vehicle has good clearance as the road may be rough in parts.
Public Transportation
To reach Pitawala Pathana using public transport, take a bus from Kandy to Mahiyangana. Buses leave frequently from the Kandy central bus station. Once you reach Mahiyangana, transfer to a local bus heading towards Riverston. Ask the driver to drop you off at Riverston. From the drop-off point, you may need to hire a tuk-tuk or walk approximately 5 kilometers to reach Pitawala Pathana.

If you are in the Riverston area, you can hire a tuk-tuk to take you to Pitawala Pathana. The fare typically ranges from 500 to 1000 LKR, depending on your negotiation skills and the distance. Ensure you agree on the price before starting your journey. The tuk-tuk ride will be about 15 minutes if the driver knows the route well.
