    Getting There

    Car

    If you are driving from Matale town, head southeast on the A9 road. After approximately 5 kilometers, take a left onto the B250 road. Continue for about 10 kilometers until you reach the junction near the Arangala Temple. Turn left at the junction and follow the signs towards Arangala Mountain Peak. The road may become narrow, so drive carefully. Once you reach the base of the mountain, you will find parking available.

    Public Transportation

    To reach Arangala Mountain Peak via public transport, take a bus from Matale town to the town of Dambulla. Buses leave regularly and the fare is approximately LKR 50. Once you arrive in Dambulla, transfer to a local bus heading towards Arangala. This bus ride will cost about LKR 30. Get off at the Arangala Temple stop. From there, it is a short walk to the base of the mountain where you can start your hike.

    If you're at the Arangala Temple, you can walk to the base of Arangala Mountain Peak. Follow the trail that leads from the temple, which is well-marked. The hike to the peak will take approximately 1-2 hours depending on your pace. Ensure you have appropriate footwear and bring water, as the trail can be steep and challenging.
