    From the center of Matara, head towards Matara Main Bus Station. Exit the station and walk towards the main road (Galle Road). Once on Galle Road, look for a bus stop where you can catch a bus to Dickwella. Buses to Dickwella are frequent, so you shouldn't have to wait long. After boarding the bus, you will travel for about 30 minutes. Keep an eye out for a sign that says 'Hiriketiya' or notify the bus conductor that you want to get off at Hiriketiya Beach. When you arrive at the Hiriketiya stop, disembark and walk in the direction of the beach. Follow the path that leads down towards the beach, and you will arrive at Hiriketiya Beach.

    From any location in Matara, you can hire a tuk-tuk to take you directly to Hiriketiya Beach. Just tell the driver 'Hiriketiya Beach' or show them the location on your phone. The journey will take approximately 20-25 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey, as tuk-tuk drivers often expect to negotiate.
