Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from Galle, head south on the A2 highway towards Matara. Continue on the A2 for about 32 km, then take the exit towards Dikwella. Follow the signs to Dikwella Beach, which is approximately 10 km from the exit. You will pass through Dikwella town; keep an eye out for Beliatta New Road and follow it to reach the beach. Parking is available near the beach.

  • Public Bus

    From Galle, take a bus heading towards Matara. Buses frequently depart from the Galle bus station. Once you reach Matara, transfer to a bus that goes to Dikwella. The journey from Galle to Matara will cost around LKR 100-150, and from Matara to Dikwella, expect to pay another LKR 50-100. After reaching Dikwella, you can either walk or take a tuk-tuk to reach Beliatta New Road where Dickwella Beach is located.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    If you are already in Dikwella, hiring a tuk-tuk is a convenient way to reach Dickwella Beach. Simply tell the driver to take you to Beliatta New Road, which is approximately 5-10 minutes away depending on traffic. The fare is usually around LKR 200-300.
