To get to Galle Dutch Fort from anywhere in Mirissa, you can take a tuk-tuk. Simply flag down a tuk-tuk on the main road or ask your hotel to call one for you. Tell the driver 'Galle Dutch Fort' or show them the address: 'Galle 80000'. The ride should take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off near the entrance of the fort.

Public Bus
If you prefer to take a public bus, walk to the Mirissa bus station located near the main road. Look for buses going to Galle; they are usually marked with 'Galle' on the front. Board the bus and pay the fare (around 50 LKR). The bus ride will take about 30-45 minutes. Get off at the Galle bus station and walk towards the fort. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk, following the signs towards the fort area.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to explore the area, you can walk from Mirissa to Galle. The distance is approximately 7 km and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Start on the main road heading north from Mirissa. You will pass through small villages and beautiful coastal scenery. Once you reach Galle, follow the signs to the Dutch Fort, which is well-known and easy to find.
