Walking
From the center of Nuwara Eliya, head towards the Galle Face Hotel. Walk along the Main Street (A5) towards the direction of the bus station. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit at the roundabout onto the Ranhawadigama Road. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers, passing by picturesque tea plantations and local houses. After 2 kilometers, you will see a sign for Moon Plains on your right. Follow the path leading up to Moon Plains, which is a short walk from the road.
Tuk-Tuk
From your accommodation in Nuwara Eliya, ask for a tuk-tuk to take you to Moon Plains. Make sure to specify 'Ranhawadigama Road' as your destination. The journey will take approximately 15 minutes. The driver will drop you off at the entrance to Moon Plains, where you can begin your exploration.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Nuwara Eliya. Start from the central park and head towards Main Street (A5). Turn onto Ranhawadigama Road and cycle for about 2 kilometers. Enjoy the scenic views of tea estates along the way. Look for the sign indicating Moon Plains on your right. Lock your bicycle at the entrance and enjoy your visit.
