If you are driving from Ratnapura, take the A4 road towards Balangoda. After approximately 25 km, look for the B115 road sign. Turn onto B115 and continue for about 10 km until you reach Suriyakanda. Maduwanwela Walawwa is located at 9PQ3+MC9, B115, Suriyakanda. Look for signs indicating the Walawwa or historical sites. There is parking available at the location.

From Ratnapura, take a bus heading towards Balangoda. The bus fare is around 50 LKR. Once you reach Balangoda, transfer to a local bus that goes to Suriyakanda. The fare for this leg is approximately 30 LKR. Inform the bus conductor of your destination, Maduwanwela Walawwa, and they will let you know when to get off. The Walawwa is a short walk from the bus stop.
