    If you are traveling by car from any point within Udawalawe National Park, continue on the main park road towards the Thanamalvila Road. Follow the signs towards Thanamalvila. The dam is located approximately 20 minutes from the park entrance, along the Thanamalvila Road. Look for the sign indicating 'Udawalawa Dam' on your right side. There is no entry fee to visit the dam itself.

    To reach The Udawalawa Dam via public transportation, first take a local bus from Udawalawe National Park to the nearest bus station in Udawalawa. Buses run frequently and the fare is generally around 50 LKR. Once you arrive at the Udawalawa bus station, you can either walk or hire a tuk-tuk to the dam, which is about 5 km away.
