Getting There

    If you are starting from the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, head south on the main road towards the village of Pidurangala. Continue walking for about 2 kilometers, keeping an eye out for the signs directing you to Pidurangala Rajamaha Viharaya. You will pass a few small shops and local eateries along the way. Once you reach Pidurangala, look for the entrance to the temple on your left. The ticket office is located just before the temple entrance.

    From your location in Sigiriya, you can hire a tuk tuk to take you to Pidurangala Rock Temple. Simply ask the driver to take you to 'Pidurangala Rajamaha Viharaya'. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. When you arrive, the tuk tuk will drop you off right at the entrance of the temple where you can purchase your ticket at the office.

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Sigiriya. Head south from the main entrance of Sigiriya Rock Fortress, following the same route as you would by walking. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Keep to the left and watch for signs to Pidurangala. You will find the entrance to the temple on your left, with the ticket office just before the temple.
