Start from the Sigiriya Rock fortress entrance. Head north on the main road (Dambulla-Sigiriya Road) towards the village of Sigiriya. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection near the Sigiriya village. At the intersection, take a left onto the road towards Pidurangala. Follow this road for approximately 1 kilometer, and you will see signs pointing to Pidurangala Rajamaha Viharaya. The entrance to Pidurangala will be on your right. The total walking distance is around 2.5 kilometers and should take about 30-40 minutes.
