Walking
From the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, start walking towards the main road that leads to Dambulla. After about 1 km, you will reach the Dambulla–Sigiriya Road. Continue walking along this road for approximately 5 km until you reach the intersection with the Pallekumbura Road. Turn left at the intersection and walk towards Pallekumbura. Riverston Basecamp is around 3 km further along Pallekumbura Road, and you will see it on your right.

Tuk-tuk
You can easily hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Sigiriya. Just tell the driver that you want to go to Riverston Basecamp in Pallekumbura. The journey will take around 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will take you along the Dambulla–Sigiriya Road and then turn onto Pallekumbura Road, where you will see Riverston Basecamp on your right.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Sigiriya. Start by heading out towards the Dambulla–Sigiriya Road. Cycle straight for about 5 km, then turn left onto Pallekumbura Road and continue for another 3 km. Keep an eye out for Riverston Basecamp on your right. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay safe on the roads!
