Getting There

Walking
From the center of Unawatuna, head southeast towards the main road. Walk down the main street, passing by local shops and restaurants. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Galle-Matara Main Road (A2). Cross the road carefully and continue walking straight. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, keep an eye out for signs leading to Koggala. Follow the signs, and after about 500 meters, you'll find the Koggala Bathing place on your right, just off the main road.

From anywhere in Unawatuna, you can easily find a tuk-tuk. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Koggala Bathing place. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off near the main entrance to the bathing place, which is located along the beachside. Make sure to agree on the fare before you get in.

If you're renting a bicycle in Unawatuna, start by heading towards the Galle-Matara Main Road (A2). Ride along the main road, making sure to stay on the left side for safety.
