Getting There

    From the center of Unawatuna, head south towards the beach area. Walk along the main road (Matara Road) that runs parallel to the coastline. Continue walking for approximately 2 km until you reach a fork in the road, where you will see signs for Koggala Beach. Take the left fork, which leads you towards Koggala. Keep walking straight for about 1 km until you reach Koggala Beach. Look for the beachfront area where you can enjoy the sand and sea.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From any location in Unawatuna, find a tuk-tuk driver (you can easily hail one from the roadside). Tell the driver you want to go to Koggala Beach. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to mention 'Koggala Beach' clearly, as it is a popular destination. The driver will take you directly to the beach area.

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Unawatuna. Start by heading south on the main road (Matara Road) for about 2 km until you reach the fork in the road.
