Getting There

Car
From any part of Yala National Park, head towards the main entrance of the park, following the signs towards Kirinda. Take the A2 road towards the town of Kirinda, which is approximately 20 kilometers away. Once you reach Kirinda, continue on the A2 for about 5 kilometers until you see the signs for Ussangoda National Park. Turn left onto the road leading to Ussangoda and drive for about 2 kilometers until you arrive at the park entrance. Be aware that there may be an entrance fee to enter the park, usually around LKR 1,500 per person.

Public Transportation
While public transportation options are limited, you can take a bus from Yala National Park to Kirinda. First, find a bus that departs from the nearby bus station in Tissamaharama, which is approximately 30-40 minutes from Yala. Once in Kirinda, you can hire a tuk-tuk or a local taxi to take you to Ussangoda National Park, which is about 5 kilometers away. The bus fare is generally around LKR 100, and expect to pay around LKR 300-500 for the tuk-tuk ride.
