By Car
If you're driving from Tangalle, head south on the A2 highway towards Hambantota. After around 18 km, take a left onto the Hungama Gurupokuna Road. Continue for about 5 km until you reach the Kalametiya Lagoon Bird Sanctuary & Wetland Park, located at Mahesh M Jayasooriya, 122/26, Hungama Gurupokuna Road, Kalametiya, Tangalle 82120. Keep an eye out for the signs along the way.

From Tangalle bus station, take a bus heading towards Hambantota. Make sure to inform the bus conductor that you wish to get off at Kalametiya. The bus will drop you near the entrance to the sanctuary. The total journey takes approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic and stops. Bus fare is usually around 50 LKR. From the bus stop, it is a short walk (about 1 km) to reach the sanctuary.
