Getting There

  • Walking

    From Avenyn, head north towards the intersection with Götaplatsen. Once you reach Götaplatsen, you will see the large statue and the Konserthuset (Concert Hall). Continue past the statue and take a left onto the road named Carl Skottsbergs gata. Follow this street for about 600 meters. The entrance to the Gothenburg Botanical Garden will be on your left. Look for the signs indicating the garden entrance.

  • Public Transport - Tram

    From Avenyn, walk to the nearest tram stop, which is ‘Götaplatsen’. Take tram number 6 or 8 heading towards 'Lindholmen' or 'Marklandsgatan'. Get off at the next stop, 'Kungssten'. From there, walk along Kungsstensgatan until you reach Carl Skottsbergs gata. Turn left and walk straight for about 200 meters until you see the entrance to the Gothenburg Botanical Garden on your right. Please note that a single tram ticket costs around 38 SEK.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From Avenyn, walk to the nearest bus stop at 'Kungsportsplatsen'. Take bus number 19 towards 'Sahlgrenska'. Get off at the 'Botaniska Trädgården' stop. The botanical garden is right across the street from the bus stop. A single bus ticket costs approximately 38 SEK.
