Car
If you're traveling by car, start from central Södermanland. Navigate to the E4 motorway heading north toward Stockholm. After about 30 kilometers, merge onto the E18 towards Brommaplan. Continue on the E18 for approximately 8 kilometers, then take the exit towards Drottningholm. Follow the signs to Drottningholm Palace, which is located at Drottningholm Palace, 178 93 Drottningholm. Parking is available near the palace, but be aware that there may be a parking fee.
Public Transportation
To reach Drottningholm Palace by public transportation, take a train from Södermanland to Stockholm Central Station. From there, switch to the Tunnelbana (subway) and take Line 19 towards Kungsträdgården, then transfer to the Bus 176 towards Drottningholm. The bus will take you directly to the palace. Be sure to check the SL website for the latest schedules and ticket prices, which are typically around 38 SEK for a single journey.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, you can bike from Södermanland to Drottningholm Palace. Follow the scenic route along Lake Mälaren, which is approximately 20 kilometers. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local cycling rules. There are bicycle racks available at the palace.
Walking
