Metro
If you are near the central parts of Stockholm, take the Metro (Tunnelbana) from T-Centralen station. Board the green line (line 19 or line 17) towards Skarpnäck or Farsta strand. Get off at Mariatorget station, which is just one stop away. Once you exit the station, you will find yourself at Mariatorget square, surrounded by cafes and shops.
Bus
For those near a bus stop, you can take bus number 3, 4, or 66 towards Södermalm. Disembark at the Mariatorget stop. From there, you will be just a short walk to the square and can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the area.
Walking
If you are staying in the Gamla Stan area, it is a pleasant 15-20 minute walk to Mariatorget. Head south from Gamla Stan towards Slussen. Cross over the bridge (Katarinabridge) and continue straight until you reach the Mariatorget square. You will pass beautiful views of the waterfront along the way.
Bicycle
You can also rent a bicycle from one of the many bike-sharing services available in Stockholm. From the city center, cycle south towards Södermalm. Follow the bike lanes along the waterfront until you reach Mariatorget. It’s a scenic ride that should take around 10-15 minutes.
