Getting There

  • Public Transport - Subway

    If you're near T-Centralen, take the Tunnelbana (subway) from T-Centralen station. Board the red line (Line 14) towards Fruängen. After two stops, get off at Östermalmstorg station. Exit the station and walk east along Nybrogatan until you reach Strandvägen. Turn right on Strandvägen and continue walking until you reach Södra Blasieholmshamnen. The National Museum will be on your left at Södra Blasieholmshamnen 2.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    Find a nearby bus stop and take bus number 69 or 76. If taking bus number 69, board at the nearest stop and stay on until you reach the bus stop 'Nybroplan'. If taking bus number 76, get off at the same stop 'Nybroplan'. From there, walk south on Nybrokajen, and then turn left onto Södra Blasieholmshamnen. The National Museum is located at Södra Blasieholmshamnen 2.

    If you are in the Gamla Stan (Old Town) area, walk towards the waterfront and head northeast along the water. Follow the path along the waterfront until you reach Slussen. Continue walking along the waterfront until you see the bridge leading to Djurgården. Cross the bridge and continue walking straight until you reach Södra Blasieholmshamnen.     If you are near the Vasa Museum or Skansen, take tram number 7 from either stop towards T-Centralen. Get off at the stop 'Nybroplan'. From Nybroplan, walk south on Nybrokajen, then take a left onto Södra Blasieholmshamnen. The National Museum will be on your left at Södra Blasieholmshamnen 2.
