Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, Tyresta National Park is approximately 30 kilometers from Stockholm city center. From Stockholm, take the E4 highway south towards Nynäshamn. After about 20 kilometers, take the exit for Tyresö (Exit 182). Follow the signs for Tyresta National Park, which will lead you onto Tyrestavägen. Continue on this road for about 10 kilometers until you see signs for the park entrance. There are parking facilities available at the park entrance, but a parking fee may apply (approximately 50 SEK per day).

    To reach Tyresta National Park using public transportation, start from Stockholm Central Station. Take the metro (Tunnelbana) Line 1 (the green line) towards Norsborg. Transfer at Tumba to the commuter train (Pendeltåg) towards Nynäshamn. Get off at the Tyresö station. From Tyresö station, you can take Bus 834 towards Tyresta by following the signs for the bus terminal. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes, and you will need to pay for a ticket (around 38 SEK).
