Boat
From Ascona, head to the Ascona ferry terminal located along the lakefront. You can take a boat heading towards Dongo. The ferry ride offers beautiful views of Lake Maggiore and the surrounding mountains. Once you arrive at the Dongo ferry terminal, exit the boat and walk towards Via del Giardino, which is about a 10-minute walk. Follow the signs towards the town center, and you'll find Giardino del Merlo at Via del Giardino, 12.

Start at the Ascona bus station, which is located near the main square. Take bus line C10 towards Dongo. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Dongo, disembark at the last stop. From there, walk to Via del Giardino, which is about a 5-minute walk. Giardino del Merlo will be on your right at Via del Giardino, 12.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, it is a scenic route! Start at the Ascona lakeside promenade and head north along the lakeshore, following the path towards the small village of Dongo. This walk can take approximately 2 hours and is about 8 kilometers. As you approach Dongo, look for signs pointing to the center, and make your way to Via del Giardino, which is a peaceful area leading to Giardino del Merlo located at Via del Giardino, 12.
