Walking
Start from the center of Ascona, at Piazza G. Motta. Head east towards Via Borgo, then turn left onto Via Borgo. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street, and you will come to the lakeside promenade. Follow the promenade along Lake Maggiore, enjoying the beautiful views. After about 20 minutes of walking, you will reach the ferry terminal. From there, take a ferry towards the town of Cannobio, Italy. Once you disembark at Cannobio, walk towards the main road and catch a local bus heading to Lago di Piano. The bus trip will take approximately 30 minutes. Keep an eye on the bus stops and get off at the Lago di Piano stop.

Begin your journey at the Ascona bus station. Catch the bus number 2 in the direction of Locarno. After a 10-minute ride, get off at the Locarno train station. From there, switch to the regional train towards Domodossola. Enjoy the scenic ride for about 30 minutes, then get off at the Lago di Piano stop. The lake will be just a short walk from the station.
