Walking
From the center of Ascona, head towards the lakeside promenade. Walk along the promenade in the direction of the ferry terminal. At the ferry terminal, take the ferry to Varenna. The ferry ride offers beautiful views of Lake Maggiore and takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Varenna, disembark and walk along the waterfront. Continue along the main path until you reach Viale Giovanni Polvani. Villa Monastero will be on your left at number 4.
Bus and Ferry
Start at the Ascona bus station. Take bus number 1 towards Locarno. Get off at the Locarno train station. From there, follow the signs to the ferry terminal and catch a ferry to Varenna. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Varenna, exit the ferry and walk along the lakeside until you reach Viale Giovanni Polvani. Villa Monastero is at number 4 on your left.
