If you are in the city center, head to the nearest tram stop, which could be 'Barfüsserplatz' or 'Kunstmuseum'. Board tram line 8 or 10 towards 'Basel SBB'. After 4 stops, get off at 'Schiffstation', which is the tram stop closest to the Promenade Unterer Rheinweg. Walk towards the river, and you'll find the promenade along the Rhine.
Bus
From the city center, locate the nearest bus stop such as 'Rathaus'. Take bus line 36 towards 'Gundeldingen'. After 5 stops, get off at 'Rheinpromenade'. Once you exit the bus, walk towards the Rhine River, and you will see the Promenade Unterer Rheinweg directly along the riverbank.
Walking
If you are near the Basel Minster or the Rathaus (Town Hall), you can simply walk to the Promenade Unterer Rheinweg. Head towards the Rhine River, walk down the hill through the old town, and continue along the riverbank. The promenade will be just a few minutes' walk from there, offering beautiful views of the river.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from multiple rental stations around the city, such as the one near the Basel SBB train station. Head towards the Rhine River, and follow the bike paths along the river to reach the Promenade Unterer Rheinweg. The ride is scenic and will take about 10-15 minutes from the city center.
