    To reach Palazzo Borromeo on Isola Bella from Locarno, start by heading to the Locarno Ferry Terminal, which is located along the lakeside promenade. From the main square (Piazza Grande), walk towards the lake (approximately 10 minutes). Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket for a ferry heading to Stresa. The ferry ride will take about 30 minutes. Upon arrival in Stresa, you will find signs directing you to the boat service that takes you to Isola Bella. Board the small boat, which operates frequently, and enjoy a short ride (around 10 minutes) to the island. Once on Isola Bella, follow the signs towards Palazzo Borromeo.

    Train and Ferry

    If you prefer to travel by train, start at Locarno Railway Station. Take a train to Stresa, which usually involves a transfer at Domodossola. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arriving at Stresa Station, exit and walk towards the lakeside, which takes about 15 minutes. From there, head to the Stresa Ferry Terminal and purchase a ticket to Isola Bella.
