Walking
If you are starting from the Lugano Train Station, exit the station and head south on Via Francesco Borromini. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Nassa. Turn left onto Via Nassa and walk until you reach Piazza Riforma. From there, take Via Cattedrale, which will lead you to the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. After visiting the Cathedral, continue down Via Cattedrale until you reach the end, where you will find the funicular station. Take the funicular to the top of the hill and exit at the top station. From there, follow the signs for the hiking trail that leads to the beautiful viewpoint overlooking Lugano. After enjoying the view, walk back down to the funicular station and descend back to the city. Once you return to Piazza Riforma, head north towards Via Pessina.
