Bus
From the center of Thun, head to the Thun Bahnhof (Train Station). Once there, find the bus stop for line 21, which is headed towards Hofstetten bei Brienz. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride, which takes approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to keep an eye on the bus stops, and get off at the 'Ballenberg' stop. The museum will be a short walk from the bus stop, just follow the signs pointing towards 'Ballenberg, Swiss Open-Air Museum'.

Train and Bus
Start at Thun Bahnhof (Train Station) and take a train towards Interlaken. After about 20 minutes, get off at Brienz Bahnhof. From there, exit the train station and walk to the nearby bus stop for line 21. Board the bus towards Hofstetten bei Brienz and ride for about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Ballenberg' stop, which is very close to the museum entrance. Follow the signs to reach the museum area.

Walking and Train
If you prefer to walk, you can take a scenic route. Start at Thun Bahnhof and walk towards the Thun Lake promenade. Follow the promenade along the lake towards the Brienz area, which is about a 1.5-hour walk. Alternatively, take a train from Thun to Brienz and enjoy the view from the train. Once you arrive in Brienz, follow the instructions for the bus as mentioned above.
