From Ascona, walk to the nearest bus stop located at Piazza Giuseppe Motta. Take Bus line 1 towards Lugano. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Lugano train station. Once you reach the top, follow the signs for the hiking path leading down to Gandria. This hike will take about 20 minutes and will bring you directly into the village.
