Getting there

Bus

From the Locarno train station, walk to the nearby 'Piazza Stazione' bus stop. Take bus line 312 towards 'Torno'. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Get off at the 'Torno' stop. From there, walk towards the lakefront, then follow the signs for 'Villa Pliniana', which is about a 10-minute walk uphill from the lake.

Ferry

Walk from the Locarno train station to the 'Locarno Molo' ferry terminal, which is about a 10-minute walk. Take the ferry towards 'Torno' and enjoy a beautiful ride across Lake Maggiore. Once you arrive at the 'Torno' ferry dock, exit and head up the hill towards 'Via Cesare Poggi'. Villa Pliniana is approximately a 15-minute walk from the dock.

Walking

If you prefer to walk, you can start at the Locarno train station and head towards the lakefront. Follow the lakeside promenade north towards the village of 'Torno'. It is about a 1.5-hour walk, so wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the stunning views along the way. Once in Torno, navigate towards 'Via Cesare Poggi' where you will find Villa Pliniana.
