To reach Limmat from Zurich's main train station (Zürich Hauptbahnhof), take tram line 4 or 6 from the station. If you take tram 4, get off at the 'Helmhaus' stop. If you take tram 6, get off at the same stop. From Helmhaus, walk towards the river, and you will see Limmat directly ahead.
