To reach Limmat from Zurich's main train station (Zürich Hauptbahnhof), take tram line 4 or 6 from the station. If you take tram 4, get off at the 'Helmhaus' stop. If you take tram 6, get off at the same stop. From Helmhaus, walk towards the river, and you will see Limmat directly ahead.

From Zurich's main train station (Zürich Hauptbahnhof), you can also take bus number 31. Get off at the 'Rathaus' stop. From there, walk towards the riverfront, and you will arrive at Limmat in just a few minutes.

If you are near the Old Town (Altstadt), you can simply walk to Limmat. Start at the Grossmünster church and head down to the river. Follow the path along the riverbank, and you will reach Limmat within a short stroll.

For a scenic approach, take a ferry from the Bürkliplatz pier. Ferries operate frequently and provide a picturesque way to reach Limmat. Board the ferry that heads towards the 'Wollishofen' or 'Zürich, Utoquai' direction. Disembark at any stop along the Limmat for a great view of the river.
