Getting There

  • Walking

    Start your journey from the center of Panjakent, specifically from the main market area (Bazar). Head east along the main road, following the signs towards the Marguzar Valley. The road will take you through the local neighborhoods, and you will pass various small shops and cafes. Keep walking for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach a junction. At the junction, take a left turn onto the road that leads towards the Marguzar Valley. Continue along this road for another 5 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views of the surrounding mountains. After this stretch, you will see signs pointing towards the seven lakes. Follow these signs until you reach the entrance to the Marguzar area. From here, it will be about a 1-kilometer walk to the sixth lake. Look for trail markers or local guides who may assist you in finding the exact path to the lake.

  • Public Transport

    From the center of Panjakent, head to the main bus station, which is located near the market area. Look for a minibus (locally known as a marshrutka) heading towards Marguzar or the seven lakes. The fare is generally very affordable. Once you are on the minibus, tell the driver your destination, and they will drop you off at a suitable point close to the entrance of the Marguzar Valley. After disembarking, follow the same walking directions as above, which is about a 1-kilometer walk to the sixth lake.
