Getting There

  • Bicycle

    If you are in Mikocheni and wish to cycle to Water World, you can rent a bicycle from a local shop. Head towards the main road, Ali Hassan Mwinyi Road, and cycle westward. Continue on this road for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach the junction at the Ubungo Bus Terminal. From there, turn right onto Sam Nujoma Road. Water World is located a short distance along this road on your left. Ensure to wear a helmet for safety, and be cautious of traffic.

  • Walking

    For those who prefer walking, start from the center of Mikocheni. Head towards the main street and walk along the Ali Hassan Mwinyi Road heading west. After about 2 kilometers, you will reach a major intersection with the Ubungo Bus Terminal. At this point, you can cross to the other side of the road. Continue walking straight along Sam Nujoma Road for about 500 meters, and Water World will be on your left. It’s a good idea to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.

  • Public Transport (Daladala)

    To reach Water World using public transportation, find a daladala (local minibus) heading towards Ubungo. You can catch one from various points in Mikocheni. Once you board, inform the conductor that you are going to Ubungo. The fare is usually around 600 TZS. After reaching Ubungo, disembark and switch to a daladala headed to Sam Nujoma Road. The fare for this leg is also approximately 600 TZS. After about a 15-minute ride, get off at the stop closest to Water World, which should be marked. Walk a short distance to your left to reach the entrance.
