The boats usually leave in the morning, so plan to arrive early. The boat ride takes approximately 30 minutes, and you will be dropped off at the park entrance.

If you are already in Mwamgongo, Gombe National Park is a short distance away. Start at the local market in Mwamgongo and head west towards the lakeshore. Follow the path along the lake until you reach the park entrance. It is about a 20-30 minute walk, and you will enjoy beautiful views of Lake Tanganyika along the way.

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle in Kigoma town. Start your journey by cycling towards Gombe National Park via the road leading to the park entrance.
