Car
From Mikumi National Park, head east on the A7 road (also known as the Morogoro-Dodoma road) for approximately 40 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the signs to Ruaha National Park. After about 40 km, you will reach the turnoff to Ruaha, which is well-marked. Turn onto the dirt road leading to Ruaha and continue for around 25 kilometers. Be cautious as the road can be bumpy and may require a 4x4 vehicle, especially during the rainy season.

Public Transportation (Bus)
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Mikumi to Iringa, which is the nearest major town to Ruaha. Buses leave frequently from the Mikumi bus station. The journey to Iringa takes about 2 to 3 hours and costs around 10,000 TZS. Once in Iringa, you will need to catch a taxi or a local dala-dala (minibus) to the Ruaha entrance gate. This last leg of the journey is approximately 30 kilometers and the fare is around 5,000 TZS. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting the journey.
