Getting There

    If you're driving from any location within Tarangire National Park, head towards the park's main exit at the Sangaiwe Gate. Once you exit the park, follow signs towards Babati on the A104 road. Continue on A104 for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the junction for Katesh. Turn left onto the road leading to Katesh and continue for another 20 kilometers. Mount Hanang' will be visible in the distance. You can park in Katesh and walk to the base of the mountain.

    To reach Mount Hanang' by public transport from Tarangire National Park, start by taking a dala dala (local minibus) from the nearest town, Mto wa Mbu, to Babati. The fare is around 3,000 TZS. From Babati, you will need to catch another dala dala heading to Katesh, which costs about 1,000 TZS. Once in Katesh, you can either walk or hire a local guide to take you to the base of Mount Hanang'.
