If you are driving from the main entrance of Tarangire National Park (the Bologonja Gate), head southeast on the park road. Continue straight for approximately 20 kilometers. Look for signs directing you towards Mto Tarangire. The river is located just off the main road. Be cautious of wildlife on the road, especially during early morning and late afternoon.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, first take a 'dala dala' (shared minibus) from Arusha to the Tarangire National Park entrance. Once you arrive at the park, you can hire a local guide or a taxi to take you to Mto Tarangire. The distance is about 20 kilometers, and it is advisable to agree on a fare beforehand. Expect to pay around 30,000 TZS for the trip.
