Getting There

Car
If you are driving from within Selous Game Reserve, head towards the main entrance of the reserve. Once you reach the main gate, take the road towards Mikumi National Park. Continue on this road for about 60 kilometers until you reach the junction leading to Tarangire National Park. Follow the signs towards Tarangire National Park, and after approximately 30 kilometers, you will arrive at the lodge. Make sure to have enough fuel before setting out as fuel stations may not be readily available in the reserve.

For those traveling by public transport, you can take a bus or shared taxi from nearby towns such as Morogoro or Dodoma to the entrance of Tarangire National Park. Once you arrive at the park entrance, it is advisable to arrange for a local taxi or a lodge transfer to get to Tarangire Safari Lodge, as the lodge is located a short distance inside the park. Ensure you check the bus schedules ahead of time and consider the costs, which may vary. The entrance fee to Tarangire National Park is an additional cost that you will need to pay at the gate.
