Public Bus
From Zanzibar City, head to the Darajani Market area where you'll find the bus station. Look for buses heading to Chwaka or Makunduchi. The fare is affordable, usually around 1,000-2,000 TZS. Inform the conductor that you are going to Mitakawani. After approximately 30-45 minutes, get off at the stop that announces Mitakawani, which is usually marked by a sign or by locals. From the bus stop, you may need to walk a bit, so ask for directions to Bwamzee Spice Farm, which should be nearby.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer a more active mode of transport, rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Zanzibar City. Head east out of the city towards the coast. The route is relatively flat and pleasant. Follow the road signs toward Chwaka. After about 45 minutes to an hour of cycling, you should reach the area of Mitakawani. Once there, ask locals for directions to Bwamzee Spice Farm, and they will be happy to assist you.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to explore the local area, you can walk from Zanzibar City to Mitakawani. This will take several hours (around 3-4 hours) and is best done in the morning to avoid the heat. Start by heading towards the coast and following the main road leading out of the city.
