Getting There

  • Bicycle

    If you're in Zanzibar City and prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head southeast on Sokoine Rd towards Jambiani Rd. Continue on Jambiani Rd until you reach the junction with Michamvi Rd. Turn left onto Michamvi Rd and cycle until you reach Wimbi Diving Zanzibar located at 1 Michamvi Rd, Pingwe. The journey should take approximately 1.5 hours, depending on your speed.

  • Walking

    For those who enjoy walking, start from the center of Zanzibar City. Walk towards the waterfront along the main road, which is Stone Town Rd. Continue straight towards the east until you reach the area of Jambiani. From Jambiani, follow the coastal path heading south until you reach Michamvi Rd. Turn left and walk along Michamvi Rd until you see Wimbi Diving Zanzibar at 1 Michamvi Rd, Pingwe. The walk will take approximately 4-5 hours, so ensure you have plenty of water and take breaks as needed.

  • Dala Dala (Shared Minibus)

    To reach Wimbi Diving Zanzibar via Dala Dala, find a Dala Dala heading towards Jambiani from the Stone Town area. Board the Dala Dala and pay the fare (usually around 1,000 TZS). Inform the driver that you want to go to Pingwe. After about 45 minutes, the Dala Dala will drop you off near Michamvi Rd. From there, walk along Michamvi Rd until you reach Wimbi Diving Zanzibar at 1 Michamvi Rd, Pingwe. The total journey will take about 1.5 hours, including waiting and travel time.
