From the center of Stone Town, head towards the waterfront along the Mizingani Road. If you're near the Old Dispensary, walk straight until you reach the beach. The Old Fort is located just a short distance ahead on your right-hand side. It is a large stone structure, so it should be easily visible. The walk will take about 10-15 minutes.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Forodhani Gardens and ride along the waterfront towards Mizingani Road. Continue along the road until you see the Old Fort on your right. This route is scenic and takes about 10 minutes, depending on your pace.

Take a Dala Dala (shared minibus) from the main bus station in Stone Town. Ask the conductor to drop you off at the closest stop to the Old Fort. Once you get off, walk a short distance towards the waterfront along Mizingani Road. The Old Fort will be on your right. The Dala Dala ride should take about 5 to 10 minutes.
