If you're starting from the heart of Stone Town, head towards the Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe) located on the seafront. From there, walk east along the waterfront until you reach the intersection with Kenyatta Road. Turn right onto Kenyatta Road and continue straight. You will pass several local shops and cafes. After about 10 minutes, you will reach Hurumzi Street. Turn left onto Hurumzi Street, and continue walking until you see the entrance to Princess Salme Museum on your right at 236 Hurumzi.

Bicycle
For those who prefer to bike, start from the Forodhani Gardens. Head southwest towards the Old Fort. Once you reach the Old Fort, follow the same path as for walking: bike along the waterfront towards Kenyatta Road, then turn right onto Kenyatta Road. Continue until you reach Hurumzi Street, turn left, and look for the museum on your right. This route is fairly flat and offers a pleasant ride through the heart of Stone Town.

Local Transport (Bajaji or Dala Dala)
If you choose to take a Bajaji (a local three-wheeler) or a Dala Dala (minibus), head to the nearest Dala Dala stop, which is likely near the Old Fort. Board a Dala Dala heading towards Mkokotoni or the central market and ask the conductor to drop you off at the Hurumzi stop. From there, walk along Hurumzi Street, and the museum will be on your right at number 236. This is a cost-effective option and allows you to experience local transport.
