Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving, start by heading southeast on Newfound Gap Rd (US-441) from any point in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Follow the road for approximately 15 miles until you reach the junction with the Cherokee, NC exit. Take the exit toward Cherokee, and merge onto US-441 N. Continue on this road for about 5 miles. As you enter Cherokee, keep an eye out for Tsali Blvd on your right. Turn right onto Tsali Blvd, and you will find the Cherokee Welcome Center at 498 Tsali Blvd, Cherokee, NC 28719.

    If you're using public transportation, the easiest option is to take a shuttle service or bus from Gatlinburg to Cherokee. Most shuttle services operate from major hotels or attractions in the area. Once you arrive in Cherokee, ask the driver to drop you off near the Cherokee Welcome Center or look for local signage. The center is located at 498 Tsali Blvd, which is a short walk from the main road where the shuttle will drop you off. Follow Tsali Blvd heading east, and the Welcome Center will be on your left.
