Start at the Johnson City Transit Center located at 137 W Main St, Johnson City, TN. Check the schedule for the Blue Line bus, which runs towards Elizabethton. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride, which should take approximately 30 minutes. The bus will drop you off at the Elizabethton Transit Center. From there, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Johnson City. Start by heading northwest on W Walnut St towards S Roan St. Continue on S Roan St until you reach the intersection with TN-67 W. Follow TN-67 W, which will lead you to Elizabethton. The ride is around 12 miles and can take about 1 hour depending on your speed. Once you reach Elizabethton, follow signs to Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park, which is located at 1651 W Elk Ave.
