If you are near downtown Amarillo, you can take the Amarillo City Transit Bus Route 2. Board the bus at the nearest stop and ride until you reach the I-40 & Eastern Blvd stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile southeast along Eastern Blvd to reach the museum. Follow Eastern Blvd as it curves, and continue until you reach the entrance of Kwahadi Museum at 9151 I-40.

You can rent a bicycle from one of the local bike-sharing services. Start at the Civic Center and head southeast on SE 6th Ave. Continue on SE 6th Ave until you reach Eastern Blvd. Turn right on Eastern Blvd and follow it until you reach the entrance of the Kwahadi Museum at 9151 I-40. This route is approximately 5 miles and is mostly flat, offering a pleasant ride.

If you are staying in the vicinity of downtown Amarillo, you can walk to Kwahadi Museum. Head south on S Polk St until you reach I-40. Cross over to the north side and follow the sidewalk along the road. Continue walking east along I-40 until you see the museum entrance at 9151 I-40. The walk is approximately 4.5 miles and may take about 1.5 to 2 hours.
