Getting There

• Car

  From the main entrance of McKinney Falls State Park, head southeast on McKinney Falls Parkway. Continue on this road for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 183. Turn left onto Highway 183 and follow the signs for Austin. After approximately 4 miles, take the exit for Onion Creek Drive. Turn right onto Onion Creek Drive. Continue for about 1 mile, and you will find the Onion Creek Greenbelt on your left at 7002 Onion Creek Dr, Austin, TX 78744.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, first take the Capital Metro Bus Route 20 from the nearest bus stop to McKinney Falls State Park. You will need to transfer to Route 300 at the nearest transit center towards the Onion Creek area. Alight at the stop closest to Onion Creek Drive. From there, it is about a 15-20 minute walk (approximately 0.7 miles) along Onion Creek Drive to reach the Onion Creek Greenbelt at 7002 Onion Creek Dr, Austin, TX 78744.

• Biking

  For those who enjoy biking, you can cycle from McKinney Falls State Park to Onion Creek Greenbelt. Exit the park and head southeast on McKinney Falls Parkway, then take a left onto Highway 183. Use the bike lanes where available. Follow the same route as the car guidance. It is approximately 3-4 miles to the destination, and it should take around 20-30 minutes, depending on your biking speed. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.
