Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Ayutthaya Historical Park, head east towards U Thong Road. Walk along U Thong Road for about 1 km. You will pass several local shops and cafes on your way. Keep an eye out for the signs that indicate you are heading towards the Pratu Chai Sub-district. Continue walking until you reach Phet Fortress, which will be on your left at 13/5 U Thong Rd.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Ayutthaya. Start from the Ayutthaya Historical Park and head east on U Thong Road. It is approximately a 1 km ride. Along the way, you can stop at local shops to refresh yourself. Phet Fortress will be located on your left side at 13/5 U Thong Rd, just before you reach the intersection with the next street.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    Find a tuk-tuk around the Ayutthaya Historical Park area. Inform the driver that you would like to go to Phet Fortress located at 13/5 U Thong Rd. The journey should take around 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. Be sure to negotiate the fare before getting in. The driver will drop you off right outside the fortress.

  • Local Bus

    Catch a local bus from the main bus terminal in Ayutthaya. You will need to take a bus heading towards Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. Request to be dropped off at the nearest stop to U Thong Road. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to Phet Fortress. Head south on U Thong Road for approximately 400 meters, and you will find the fortress on your left.
