Songthaew
From the Old City area of Chiang Mai, head to the nearest Songthaew station, usually located near the Chang Phuak Gate. You can catch a Songthaew heading towards Mae Taeng. Once on board, tell the driver you want to go to Buatong Waterfall in Chet Si Fountain National Park. The ride will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. The Songthaew will drop you off at the entrance of the national park. From there, it’s a short walk to the waterfall.

Tuk-Tuk
If you prefer a more private mode of transport, you can hire a Tuk-Tuk from any area in Chiang Mai. Negotiate the price beforehand, as it can range from 800 to 1200 THB for a round trip. Request the driver to take you to Buatong Waterfall in Chet Si Fountain National Park. They will take you directly to the entrance of the park, which is approximately a 1.5-hour drive. Make sure to agree on a time for the return trip.

Another option is to use a motorbike taxi. You can find them around the Old City and other busy areas. Ask the driver to take you to Buatong Waterfall in Chet Si Fountain National Park.
