From the Old City of Chiang Mai, head to the main road (Chang Klan Road). Look for a Songthaew (red pickup truck taxi) that is heading towards Doi Saket. You can wave one down or wait at a designated Songthaew stop. Inform the driver that you want to go to Wat Phra That Doi Saket. The ride will take around 30 minutes, and the fare is typically 30-60 THB. The driver will drop you off near the temple entrance.

You can hire a Tuk Tuk from anywhere in Chiang Mai. Simply negotiate the price with the driver to take you to Wat Phra That Doi Saket. Expect to pay around 300-500 THB for a round trip. The driver will wait for you while you explore the temple before bringing you back to your starting point. Make sure to agree on the return time before you leave.

Bike Rental
If you prefer a more adventurous route, consider renting a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in the Old City. Head east on Ratchadamnoen Road until you reach the intersection with the Superhighway (Route 11). Turn right and continue straight until you reach the village of Doi Saket. Follow the signs to Wat Phra That Doi Saket. The bike ride is approximately 16 kilometers and may take about an hour.
