Start from the Chiang Mai Old City. Head to the Chang Puak Bus Station (also known as the North Bus Station). You can take a tuk-tuk or a songthaew (red truck) to get there. Once at the station, look for bus No. 2 (green bus) heading to Doi Saket. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Doi Saket Market stop. From the market, you can take a tuk-tuk or songthaew to Mae Kuang Dam Viewpoint. Make sure to tell the driver your destination.

Songthaew (Red Truck)
From the Old City or Nimmanhaemin area, find a songthaew that is heading toward Doi Saket. It’s best to negotiate the fare before getting in. The driver should drop you off at the Doi Saket Market. From there, you can hire another songthaew to take you directly to Mae Kuang Dam Viewpoint. Confirm the fare with the driver, as it may vary.
